Corner Canyon's 25-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lehi on Saturday.
Despite their loss, Corner Canyon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bryton Valdes, who scored 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Taylor Feroah, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Alta put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Springville as Alta made off with a 74-50 victory. With Alta ahead 44-22 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Corner Canyon's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Alta, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
