The Fairbanks Panthers were the 50-34 winner over the Cedarville Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fairbanks fell to Cedarville 44-38.
Despite the loss, Fairbanks still got an impressive performance from Rachael Hoover, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mara Vicari, who scored nine points.
Fairbanks' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for Cedarville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairbanks will take on West Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cedarville, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
