Century has been on the road for five straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Putnam Kingsmen at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Wednesday, Century humbled North Salem with a 57-30 victory.
Century can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Loza, who scored 13 points along with four steals, and Kami Carmean, who scored 14 points along with five steals. The match was Loza's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addison Hawthorne, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Putnam came up short against Central last Wednesday and fell 67-60.
Century's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Putnam, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
