With a playoff game on the line, Argonaut rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mariposa County Grizzlies  and snuck past  3-2. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Argonaut.
  Hailey Dewald spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those eight  innings set a new season-high mark for her.
 At the plate,  Caton Strieff was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Argonaut has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record  this season. As for Mariposa County, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 13-12.
 Argonaut will challenge Stone Ridge Christian at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Argonaut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season. Mariposa County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
