This season hasn't been kind to The Medical Lake Cardinals, who are still winless after their ninth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-15 walloping at the hands of Freeman on Friday. Medical Lake has struggled against Freeman recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Luke Whitaker was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 235 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Whitaker has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Kanoa Rogan also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Medical Lake's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.9 points per game. As for Freeman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Medical Lake will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Cascade at 1:00 p.m. on November 4th. Cascade comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Freeman, they will be playing at home against Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
