A well-balanced attack led the Native American Community Academy Eagles over the Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Native American Community Academy blew the Dragons out of the water with a 49-16 final score. With Native American Community Academy ahead 29-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Makeda Casiquito had a dynamite game for Native American Community Academy, scoring 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Casiquito has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natasha Lucero, who scored nine points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Native American Community Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Monte Del Sol Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Native American Community Academy and the Panthers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pecos is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Monte Del Sol Charter, they will head out on the road to take on the at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Technology and The Classics is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
