Cousino has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lamphere recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Patriots will square off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Cousino turned things around against Sterling Heights on Monday. They blew past the Stallions 16-1.

Haley Neal made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted over her last nine matchups.
In other batting news, Jordyn McMullen and Giavanna Gacaferi did most of the damage at the plate: McMullen went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Gacaferi went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave McMullen a new career-high. Payton Hewitt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Cousino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sterling Heights only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lamphere). Everything went their way against Roseville on Friday as they made off with a 32-10 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Lamphere's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.3 runs over those games. As for Cousino, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Cousino skirted past Lamphere 9-8 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
