Malachi Character Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Upson-Lee's Malachi Character, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Character made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.
The win was the fourth in a row for Upson-Lee, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. Character and Upson-Lee will be playing in front of their home fans against LaGrange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Latimer Posts Huge Game in 37-29 Defeat
Amari Latimer's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 119+ rushing yards. He rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 67 yards.
Sandy Creek moved to 8-1 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. Latimer and Sandy Creek will host Troup County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Mac Nelson Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Mary Persons got the W thanks in part to Mac Nelson playing the best football he has all season. Nelson threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes. He sure picked the right time to have a big game: Mary Persons' opponent (Sandy Creek was ranked a full 114 places higher in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings.
For the year, Nelson has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 192.4 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he had seven passing touchdowns.

Parker Morr Puts an End to Whitewater's Losing Streak on Friday
Parker Morr helped snap Whitewater's three-game losing streak. Morr was dynamite on Friday, rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
On the season, Morr has averaged 14.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to four.

Amari Fletcher put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He made six total tackles.
On the season, Fletcher has averaged 6.7 total tackles per game.
