Baptist Prep will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Des Arc  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Baptist Prep is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Hot Springs. Everything went Baptist Prep's way against Hot Springs on Monday as Baptist Prep made off with  an  18-4 win.
 Hutch Finton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   one  hit. Finton was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Nick Boyette was a standout: he got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Nolan Boyette was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Three bases. while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Baptist Prep  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .634. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Des Arc gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-7  victory over Quitman. The  win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.
  Hudson Goodman was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Six bases. while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Walker Harris, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Four bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
