Baseball Recap: Berks Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Berks Catholic had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Tulpehocken Trojans 10-4. The result was nothing new for the Blue Jays, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Henry Pflomm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Victor Mejia, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Valent, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Berks Catholic's record is now 8-4. As for Tulpehocken, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
