Seattle Prep and Holy Names Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Holy Names Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Seattle Prep, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Seattle Prep turned things around against Nathan Hale last Thursday. They blew past the Raiders 19-2. That 17-run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Brooke Wilmoth looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Hayden Downer was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelie De LaPorte-Manahan, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Seattle Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Holy Names Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to Lincoln.
Holy Names Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Seattle Prep, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-9.
Everything went Seattle Prep's way against Holy Names Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Seattle Prep made off with a 17-3 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do Holy Names Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
