Holmes managed to slip by First Flight the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Aces lost 9-2 to the Nighthawks on Thursday. The Aces' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Holmes saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Hare, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for First Flight, they will take on Nash Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Nighthawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
