The team relied heavily on Matthew Brown, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Mitchell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Florence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.6.

West Florence's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
