Softball Recap: Flower Mound Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

There's no place like home for Flower Mound, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Little Elm Lobos an 11-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Flower Mound has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Little Elm, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Flower Mound is set to square off against their familiar foe Lewisville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Little Elm will challenge rival Coppell at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
