Softball Recap: Mcnary Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

McNary got themselves on the board against South Salem on Monday, but South Salem never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the Saxons. Considering the Celtics have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

McNary is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for South Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNary will challenge Sprague at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Olympians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.25 runs per game on average), something the Celtics will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Salem, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
