Lake Highlands extended their losing streak  to eight  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost  15-0 to the Nimitz Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  20-1  on Tuesday.
As for Nimitz,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-14. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1  runs in those games.
 For Nimitz's part,  Dani Maloney was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. Maloney is  on a roll when it comes to  hits, as she's  now  got three or more in each of the last three games she's  played.  Victoria Edwards was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Lake Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nimitz, they will face off against Arlington at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
