5A Region IV District 25 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Smithson Valley extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region IV District 25 this week by beating King, 44-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Rangers.
Canyon moved up to 317 from 348 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars were able to make the jump by beating Southwest 35-21.
San Marcos' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rattlers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Zack Sterling has thrown for 127 yards and one touchdown this season, while Mathew Madlock has four catches for 56 yards. Jonoah Fabian leads the league in rushing with 198 yards.
Judson took down Carroll 59-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
