Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hapeville Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Goldson, who scored 19 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Goldson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Malachi Toby, who scored ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Southwest DeKalb lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Turner. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelvin Peek, III, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Hapeville Charter pushed their record up to 13-10 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Southwest DeKalb, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
