The Nicholas County Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and PikeView wasn't particularly close, with Nicholas County falling 57-43. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Nicholas County of the 65-54 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Nicholas County's loss came despite strong showings from Trey Stump and Isaiah Miner. Stump scored 14 points along with two steals, while Miner scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Cole Brown was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Nicholas County dropped their record down to 6-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for PikeView, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nicholas County will take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for PikeView, they will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
