After flying high against the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes last Thursday, The South Plantation Paladins came back down to earth. South Plantation fell just short of Cooper City by a score of 15-12. South Plantation gained 91 more yards on the day, but it was Cooper City that made the best of use of them.
Although South Plantation took the loss, they still got scores from Shawn Rice and Sakib Muhammad.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cooper City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Dillon, who picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown. Dillon's longest reception was for an incredible 86 yards.
Cooper City's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Mason Greenstein and his two sacks.
South Plantation has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Cooper City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.
South Plantation will head out on the road to face off against Everglades at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Everglades and South Plantation are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Cooper City, they will be playing at home against Cypress Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Bay is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
