Smoky Hill put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Aztec Tigers by a score of 8-5. This was payback for the Buffaloes, who suffered a 6-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Anwyl Gutierrez-Trujillo, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Max Goodrich, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Smoky Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aztec only posted an OBP of .400.
