Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Halle Hogan, who posted 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Hogan a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Camila Lora, who had five points and 17 boards.
Even though they lost, Tooele smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cottonwood only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.
Carley Caton was her usual excellent self, going 12 for 17 en route to 29 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals for Cottonwood. Caton continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Workman, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, nine boards, and nine assists.
Tooele's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Cottonwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Tooele didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-49 win against Murray on the 4th. Cottonwood has also already played their next contest, a 63-27 victory against Hillcrest on the 4th.
