Softball Recap: Muscatine Has No Trouble Against Clinton

17 must be Muscatine's lucky number: they beat Clinton with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Muskies blew past the River Kings 17-3. Considering the Muskies have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Muscatine has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Muscatine has already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Wahlert on the 6th. As for Clinton, they will square off against North Scott at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
