Zuni simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Tohatchi 58-8.the rankings were on Zuni's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
The Zuni offense pulled no punches in the first half and blazed their way to 44 points. Tohatchi countered with 8 points, leaving the score at 44-8 going into the half. The Zuni defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The victory was the 3rd in a row for Zuni, as they raised their record to 4-3. The loss dropped Tohatchi back to even at 4-4.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Zuni take on Crownpoint at 7:00 PM. Crownpoint took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Zuni's good fortune. Tohatchi will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Crownpoint in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
