The Ray Bearcats have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They were the clear victor by a 36-10 margin over Superior. For Ray, this counts as revenge for the 30-17 defeat Superior walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Among those leading the charge was Sanaa McGee , who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds. Those 21 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Superior struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Ray posted nine assists.
Ray's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Superior, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Ray will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Crismon at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Superior, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Joseph City at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st. Joseph City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Superior in Arizona (Joseph City is ranked 65th, while Superior is ranked 287th).
