Cotter has gone a perfect 5-0 against Calico Rock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cotter Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Calico Rock Pirates at 4:00 p.m.
Things were looking good for Cotter after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 18-9 to Yellville-Summit. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Morris was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Brayden Adams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Adams is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Perkey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Calico Rock never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Concord last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Concord 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Calico Rock has posted against Concord since April 25, 2022.
The team relied heavily on Korbin Stapton, who scored two runs and stole Five bases. while going 3-for-5. Kyle French was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
The victory got Calico Rock back to even at 3-3. As for Cotter, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cotter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. However, it's not like Calico Rock struggles in that department as they've averaged .553. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cotter took their win against Calico Rock in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 11-3. Does Cotter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Calico Rock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
