The Edinburgh Lancers will challenge the Morristown Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Morristown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Edinburgh, who comes in off a win.
Edinburgh took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Indiana School for the Deaf. Considering the Lancers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cole White and Avynn Whitaker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, White pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Whitaker pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Edinburgh is 5-2 when Whitaker allows two or fewer hits, but 2-13 otherwise. At the plate, White went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Whitaker got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits White has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylan Londeree, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Swallows, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Edinburgh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Morristown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwestern. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Edinburgh's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-15. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Morristown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
Edinburgh came up short against Morristown when the teams last played on May 2nd, falling 14-11. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
