The Lab University Prep Regional Lab Rats will head out on the road to face off against the Hickory H Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Lab University Prep Regional is ranked 443rd, while Hickory H is ranked 438th).
Lab University Prep Regional pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 74-55 fall against Greater Vision Academy. Lab University Prep Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Christian Jones, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Verquan Kimbrough, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hickory H can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They blew past Faith Christian Academy 70-29 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hickory H has posted yet this season.
Tay Early was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. Latrell Parks was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Lab University Prep Regional's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hickory H, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Lab University Prep Regional hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 61.6 points per game. It's a different story for Hickory H, though, as they've been averaging only 63.7 points per game. The only thing between Lab University Prep Regional and another offensive beatdown is Hickory H.
