The Monarch Coyotes had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past Denver South with a  73-67 victory on Wednesday. The  victory was familiar territory for Monarch who now have nine in a row.
 It was another big night for  Van Nellessen, who  dropped  a double-double on 31 points and 15  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Graham Johnson, who  scored 17 points.
 Several Ravens players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Dominic Rhoades-Martinez, who  scored 20 points along with five  steals. Rhoades-Martinez is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's  now  scored 15 or more in the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jonathan Trease, who  scored 16 points along with two  steals.
 Monarch has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record  this season. As for Denver South, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 16-8.
 Monarch is on the road again  on Saturday and plays Mountain Vista at 3:00  p.m.  on February 24th. Mountain Vista has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 887 points over their last 12 matches. Denver South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
