J.F. Webb has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the South Granville Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. J.F. Webb will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 562nd, while the Vikings are ranked 69th).
Last Tuesday, J.F. Webb took a serious blow against the Warriors, falling 64-31.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Daniel Wright, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Allen, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
In what's become a running theme this season, South Granville gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-42 margin over Vance County. Winning may never get old, but South Granville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
South Granville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Pierce Pettit out in front who scored 23 points along with two steals. Pettit has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. KJ Terry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals and four blocks.
J.F. Webb's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for South Granville, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
J.F. Webb took a serious blow against the Vikings when the teams last played back in January, falling 66-36. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point J.F. Webb was down 43-16.
