Highland lost against Middleton in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-47 score last time.
Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Rian Pokibro, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Middleton was led to victory by Eliza Palmer and Zoey Blackwell. Palmer scored 9 points along with 4 steals, while Blackwell scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. The matchup was Blackwell's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Robynn Flowers, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Highland has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 1-5 record. As for Middleton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Highland will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Timberline at 2:00 p.m. Timberline presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Highland in Idaho (Timberline is ranked 34th, while Highland is ranked 87th). As for Middleton, they will head out on the road to face off against Blackfoot at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
