For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when McDowell and St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Saturday. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April.

 In other pitching news, McDowell got a great performance from  Justice Laird as he  pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. What's more,  Laird posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April.
 Back at the plate, McDowell let  Mason Maciulewicz and  Colton Orlando run wild. Maciulewicz  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Orlando  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Maciulewicz has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shawn Chludzinski, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
McDowell's record is now 14-5. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-10-1.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McDowell beat the Marauders by a score of  8-4 later that day.
