It was a good run, but the St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their 17-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Pius X. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), St. Louis HomeSchool P still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, St. Louis HomeSchool P still got an impressive performance from Tremayne Jackson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Keys, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
St. Louis HomeSchool P's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4. As for St. Pius X, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.
St. Louis HomeSchool P's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kansas City East Christian Academy at 11:30 a.m. on February 9th. Kansas City East Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully St. Louis HomeSchool P likes a good challenge. As for St. Pius X, they will head out on the road to square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is coming into the matchup with three straight wins at home, meaning St. Pius X will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
