Lincoln East has gone 8-1 against Kearney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Spartans will be taking part in a tournament against the Bearcats at 12:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lincoln East sitting on seven straight wins and Kearney on three.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Lincoln East and Lincoln North Star, and Lincoln East kept the tradition alive. The Spartans walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Navigators on Friday.

Lincoln East's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Kearney, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Lincoln East beat Kearney 9-5 in their previous matchup last Wednesday. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
