Meanwhile, La Villa escaped with a win on Tuesday against Ben Bolt by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.
La Villa found their leader in underclassman Herlinda Rivera, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Rainee Cantu, who scored seven points.
Premont's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for La Villa, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Premont against La Villa in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 64-13 victory. With Premont ahead 46-5 at the half, the match was all but over already.
