The Davie War Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season. They took their contest at home on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 60-6 victory over Thomasville. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Davie has managed all season.
Davie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton Spaugh led the charge by scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Aderhold, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Davie now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Thomasville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davie won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Davidson at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. West Davidson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 445th, while Davie is ranked 194th). As for Thomasville, they will be playing at home against Ledford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ledford is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
