Football Recap: Nelson Piles Up the Points Against Sandy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nelson). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Sandy Pioneers 56-19. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nelson also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Nelson pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Sandy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nelson will square off against rival Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Sandy is set to take on their familiar foe Clackamas at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
