The Northbrook Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Spring Woods Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northbrook will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.
Northbrook scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Jersey Village as Northbrook made off with a 10-1 win. Considering Northbrook has won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Spring Woods' recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 9-0 walloping at the hands of Stratford. While losing is never fun, Spring Woods can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 612th, while Stratford is ranked 43rd).
Northbrook's win bumped their record up to 15-4-2. As for Spring Woods, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Northbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against Spring Woods in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northbrook since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
