3A District 8 recap Nov. 7, 2012
University extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 8 this week by beating Eagle's View, 56-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
University took down the Warriors 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Roger Harriott's team's Mike White and Jordan Cunningham have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 1286 yards this season, while Cunningham, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 30 catches for 427 yards. Tim Irvin from Westminster Christian leads the league in rushing with 745 yards.
Archbishop Carroll made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,812 from 11,976. The advance stemmed from a 41-0 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
