The Central Heights Vikings lost against the Iola Mustangs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Central Heights took a 33-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Iola. Central Heights has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Central Heights' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Melaney Chrisjohn, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Evans, who scored 2 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
Central Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Iola, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Central Heights will stay at home for another game and welcome Kansas City Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Iola, they will head out on the road to face off against Burlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
