Even though Eastern Wayne has not done well against Southern Wayne recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Eastern Wayne strolled past Southern Wayne with points to spare, taking the game 48-31.
Southern Wayne's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Eastern Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
