The Council Rock South Golden Hawks were the 43-33 winner over the Neshaminy Skins when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Council Rock South took a 59-40 bruising from Neshaminy on Friday. Council Rock South has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Nate Townsend was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with five rebounds and two steals for Neshaminy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Townsend has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emeer Coombs, who scored 11 points.
Council Rock South's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Neshaminy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Council Rock South will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Council Rock North at 5:30 p.m. Council Rock North will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Council Rock South is ranked 146th). As for Neshaminy, they will head out on the road to take on Conestoga at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
