Lyons/Sodus is 0-4 against East Rochester-Gananda since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lyons/Sodus will head out on the road to face off against the East Rochester-Gananda Bombers at 7:00 p.m.
Lyons/Sodus unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 42-27 bruising from Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry.
Despite the defeat, Lyons/Sodus had strong showings from Budda Sirmons, who picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Darius Wood-Asberry, who threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Devyn Williams made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, East Rochester-Gananda entered their tilt with Haverling with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. East Rochester-Gananda came out on top against Haverling by a score of 26-13 last Thursday.
Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry's victory bumped their season record to 4-3 while Lyons/Sodus' defeat dropped theirs to 4-4.
Lyons/Sodus ended up a good deal behind East Rochester-Gananda in their previous meeting back in September, losing 50-35. Can Lyons/Sodus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
