The Tri-County RVT Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Bristol-Plymouth RVT Craftsmen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Tri-County RVT fell victim to Diman RVT and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 1-0. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Cougars, who fell 2-0 when the teams last met back in May of 2024.

Dylan Maw spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Tri-County RVT saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Roche, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, Bristol-Plymouth RVT was able to grind out a solid victory over Northbridge on Friday, taking the game 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Craftsmen.
Drew Ryder looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Antonio Cirino, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Cameron Wilbur was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-County RVT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-1 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tri-County RVT has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bristol-Plymouth RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tri-County RVT couldn't quite get it done against Bristol-Plymouth RVT in their previous meeting last Wednesday as they fell 5-2. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
