Atlee is a perfect 10-0 against Highland Springs since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Raiders will face off against the Springers at 6:00 p.m. Atlee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Atlee's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Mechanicsville with a sharp 11-0 win. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Izzie Turnauer was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Mauren Verity also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Meanwhile, Highland Springs can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Varina 10-9.
Elise Fleming made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Fleming was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Samantha Gathright was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dejhonae Sangster, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Atlee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Highland Springs, their record now sits at 6-4.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Atlee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. However, it's not like Highland Springs struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Atlee took their win against Highland Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
