While Honoka'a's  victory against Kohala wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Honoka'a won by a  run and slipped past Kohala  4-3. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys on Saturday, too.

He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.  In other batting news,  Chrys Coelho was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  double. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high.
Honoka'a has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.2 runs over those games. Kohala is  on  a  13-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
