Owyhee will challenge McDermitt on the road at 1:00 PM on Saturday. If the 2-0 final from the last time they met is any indication, this match will be decided by the defense.
There's no need to mince words: Owyhee lost to Carlin last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 6-48. This makes it the second loss in a row for Owyhee.
Meanwhile, McDermitt couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Pyramid Lake, falling 38-52.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. McDermitt's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Owyhee defensive front that amassed six sacks against Carlin, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
