Stansbury hasn't had much luck against Park City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Stallions will host the Miners at 3:30 p.m. Stansbury will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
While Stansbury's win against Tooele wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Stallions skirted past the Buffaloes 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stallions have posted since March 14th.
Xaviah Patch was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Stansbury: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Adams, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Park City earned a 9-4 win over Hillcrest on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won six in a row.
Brooks Baganz looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Alex Brannigan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Breza, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Park City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
Stansbury's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Park City, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Stansbury hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Park City struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
