Pasadena is 0-10 against Deer Park since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pasadena Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Deer Park Deer at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Pasadena focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Pasadena sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 victory over South Houston. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pasadena.
Pasadena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amy Caballero led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Caballero continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Caryme Molina was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Deer Park's 29-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Porter by a score of 43-40.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Alyssa Campos, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Goodson, who scored five points along with three steals.

Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Pasadena have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 28.6 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Deer Park, though, as they've been averaging only 26.4 rebounds per game. Given Pasadena's sizeable advantage in that area, Deer Park will need to find a way to close that gap.
