The Suffield Wildcats fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Windsor Locks Raiders on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 96-95 to the Raiders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (65), Suffield still had to take the loss.
Sincere Monroe was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with eight rebounds and six assists for Windsor Locks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monroe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Grasso, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Suffield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Windsor Locks, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Suffield will head out on the road to take on Academy of Aerospace and Engineering at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Suffield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for Windsor Locks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Windham RVT at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Windham RVT has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 595 points over their last seven matchups.
